This Privacy Policy explains how MK INFOTECH PTE. LTD. (referred to as 'we', 'us', or 'our'), as the developer and operator of the CouponPip browser extension, collects, uses, handles, and protects information when you install and use our extension.

We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your browsing and shopping experience. By installing and using CouponPip, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Data We Collect and Process

To provide automated coupon discovery, code testing, and savings calculation, CouponPip processes the following minimal technical information:

• Shopping Site URL & Cart Information: When you navigate to supported shopping websites or checkout pages, the extension detects the current domain and URL path to determine if valid coupon codes are available and to locate coupon submission input boxes.
• Order & Discount Values: During coupon testing, the extension inspects the subtotal price before and after applying a discount code to determine which code gives you the highest savings.
• Official Service Cookies: We only access cookies associated with our official service domain (e.g., https://www.couponpip.com) to identify first-installation channel attribution (retrieved once upon install and immediately removed) and to synchronize user settings or session status. We NEVER access or inspect third-party merchant cookies.
• Top-Level Navigation & Transfer Redirection (webNavigation): The extension observes browser top-level (main_frame) navigation events to identify transfer hops and merchant redirect chains. This ensures supported retailers are accurately recognized and activated without reading or intercepting page contents or network request payloads.
• Technical & Operational Logs: We collect anonymous operational diagnostics (e.g., whether a coupon code succeeded or failed, execution duration, and non-identifying browser error codes) to maintain and improve coupon success rates across supported merchants.

3. Data We Strictly NEVER Collect

Important Security Boundary: The extension is engineered with strict isolation rules to ensure private financial credentials never touch our systems.

• No Financial / Payment Credentials: We never read or store credit card numbers, debit card details, CVV/CVC security codes, or bank account credentials.
• No Account Passwords: We do not capture or record personal login credentials, passwords, or authentication tokens.
• No Third-Party Cookies: We never read, store, or share cookies set by third-party e-commerce platforms or advertising networks.
• No Broad Browsing History: We do not track or record your general web browsing activities outside supported e-commerce shopping and checkout contexts.
• No Personal Identification (PII): We do not require registration or collect personal identifiers like your name, phone number, or physical home address.

4. How We Use the Information

We use the processed information strictly for the following purposes:

1. To verify the eligibility of coupon codes and apply the optimal discount to your shopping cart.
2. To calculate and display your lifetime and per-transaction savings summary within the extension dashboard.
3. To recognize merchant activation from affiliate transfer redirects.
4. To diagnose broken coupon algorithms, update coupon databases, and ensure compatibility with evolving online merchant checkouts.

5. Extension Permissions & Justifications

To deliver its core coupon functionality under Chrome Manifest V3, the extension requests the following browser permissions:

• storage: Used to securely store user preferences (e.g., agreed privacy status, snooze preferences) and aggregated savings counters locally inside your browser (chrome.storage.local).
• activeTab: Grants temporary interaction with the active tab when you click the extension icon to view available coupons and dashboard statistics.
• cookies: Restricted exclusively to our official service domain (https://www.couponpip.com). Used solely to read first-install attribution sources (cleaned up immediately after reporting) and synchronize user settings/session. We do not read or use cookies on third-party merchant websites.
• webNavigation: Used to monitor top-level window redirect chains (main_frame navigations) to accurately detect affiliate transfer links and activate supported stores, without accessing page contents or executing intrusive network intercepts.
• host_permissions ("http://*/*", "https://*/*"): CouponPip functions across hundreds of online retailers worldwide. Broad host access enables the extension to detect coupon inputs on any supported store without requiring individual extension updates per newly supported retailer.

6. Google Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

CouponPip strictly adheres to the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements:

• We only use user data to provide or improve the user-facing single purpose of automated coupon testing.
• We do not transfer or sell user data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisement networks.
• We do not use or transfer user data for determining creditworthiness, lending, or personalized profiling.
• We do not allow humans to read user data unless required for technical debugging of reported issues with user consent, or to comply with applicable law.

7. Data Storage, Security & Retention

User preferences and savings totals are stored locally in your browser’s local sandbox (chrome.storage.local). When anonymous operational logs are transmitted to our servers (https://www.couponpip.com), all communications are encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS encryption protocols.

We retain anonymous error logs only for the duration necessary to diagnose checkout engine failures, after which they are purged.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You maintain full control over your data:

• Opt-Out & Reset: You can clear your savings history and local cached records at any time via your browser’s extension data management settings.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling CouponPip immediately and permanently purges all locally stored preferences, logs, and cached data from your computer.
